What Makes You Embarrassed to Smile? Visit Our Webster Dental Office to Solve the Problem

The smile is important. It shapes our face. And it helps us make a good first impression. My Webster dental team is dedicated to building beautiful smiles that last. It’s the very reason I became a dentist — and why so much of my staff joined the dental profession.
Today I want to write about a sensitive topic: embarrassment. We also struggle with this at different times in our lives. For some of us, our smile is embarrassing. We don’t like the shape of the teeth, the color of the teeth, or the state of our teeth. Whatever the case, Clear Lake Dental Care can help you overcome your dental issues.
We have the latest technology and friendliest staff. You take pride in transforming smiles. We can turn you from a self-conscious person into a person beaming with confidence and pride. Here are a few things about your smile we can help you with.
No More Dingy Teeth. Dingy or discolored teeth can be an eyesore. In some cases, discoloration can give the appearance of unhealthy teeth. A simple way to brighten your teeth is with teeth-whitening treatments. You can complete this treatment in the office or at home. Our professional whitening services can improve the brightness of your teeth by several shades.
Whitening treatments can fade with time, so if you want to permanently resolve your issues with discoloration, consider porcelain veneers. Veneers can cover the flaws in your smile, like chips, cracks, breaks, and heavy stains. To place the veneers, we’ll need to remove a small portion of the enamel to achieve that perfect fit. The great thing about veneers is that they do not stain or fade with age!
Resolve crooked teeth. Next to whitening, tooth alignment is a common cosmetic problem we work with patients to resolve. There are many different orthodontic issues to consider: crooked teeth, recessed teeth, gapped teeth, overbites, underbites, jaw pain … the list goes on. Orthodontics can give you beautiful, healthier teeth. Straight teeth not only look better, but they are easier to maintain.
At our Webster dental office, we put a huge focus on orthodontics. We offer traditional orthodontics — metal brackets and wires — and short-term orthodontics for adults. Short-terms options range from Six Month Smiles to Invisalign. Six Month Smiles is a cosmetic treatment that focuses only on the front teeth that need to be straightened. As the treatments suggest, it takes about six months to complete. Invisalign is slightly more comprehensive, in that it can be used to treat crooked teeth, gapped teeth, and some smaller bite issues. Our adult orthodontic patients love Invisalign because it is subtle and fast — it takes only about 12 to 18 months to complete. The strongest feature of Invisalign is that it uses removable clear trays instead of metal brackets or wires. The trays are virtually invisible and can be easily removed for eating and cleaning.
No more missing teeth. If ever there was a cosmetic dental problem, missing teeth is it. There is no hiding missing or failing teeth. Teeth can fail for a number of reasons, but the most common cause of tooth loss is gum disease. When the teeth fail, your face will change shape as well. The end result is that you’ll look much different. It’s a harsh fact that many people with missing teeth look much older than they truly are.
We understand that losing teeth is a sensitive issue for people. That’s why we offer a wide array of dental implant solutions. We can replace a single missing tooth with an implant or even replace whole arches of missing teeth with dental implants.
Are dental implants naturally fuse to the jawbone and nearly match the power of your natural teeth. And check this out: the treatment has a 98 percent success rate. A 98 percent success rate for any medical procedure is AMAZING!
