Stocking Stuffer Galore: 3 Dental Friendly Things to Add to Your Child’s Stocking This Christmas
- Posted on: Dec 15 2018
When it comes to Christmas time— and the holiday’s in general— it can feel like there’s always sugar lurking behind the corner. And although you yourself may like to indulge in a little bit of sugar here and there, it’s not something that you necessarily want your kids to get ahold of. Rather than filling their holiday stocking full of things that will only rot their mouth, we have created a list of a few things that you may want to consider instead.
Fun Flavored Toothpaste
You don’t have to be the parent that gives their kid mint flavored toothpaste in their stocking. In fact, there are some fun ADA approved flavors like chocolate, bubblegum, and strawberry that will not only fight cavities but that will tantalize your taste buds as well. Just make sure that whatever toothpaste you buy for them that it does have the ADA’s seal of approval on it.
Battery Operated Toothbrushes
Whether you have toddlers or teenagers, a fun new toothbrush is something that they may enjoy. Rather than gifting them with a regular old toothbrush, consider buying them a battery operated toothbrush. Battery operated toothbrushes are not only more fun than traditional toothbrushes but they also come in characters.
Sugar-Free Chewing Gum
It used to be that there were only two types of chewing gum: sugar filled bubble gum and sugar-free mint gum. Nowadays, however, there are tons of varieties of sugar-free chewing gum that even have the ADA’s stamp of approval on them. Whether your kids like mint flavored gum or fruit flavored gum, there’s sure to be a flavor that they will enjoy.
Skip the added sugar in your stockings this holiday season and use these things instead. To learn more about general dental health, contact our Webster office and call us today at 281-557-8097.
